Synopsis:
Chow Sing Sing / Star Chow (Stephen Chow) is a super cop in terms of completing the mission, but his leadership skills have a tendency to get his subordinates immediately killed. He’s saved from expulsion at the last moment, when suddenly a secret mission for the Police Commissioner requires his youth. Chow Sing Sing is sent on a ridiculous undercover mission back to school to recover the Commissioner’s “kind pistol”. After a hilariously uncomfortable period of fitting in, Chow gains the loyalties of his fellow students, but simultaneously gains the attention of a local triad gang. Chow is aided by his gang of students, by Miss Ho (Man Cheung), Chow’s love interest, who tutors Chow in life and academics, and by his partner Tso Tat Wah, played by Man Tat Ng, a wacky janitor who feigns Parkinson’s disease to get out of additional work.
From the director of Fist of Legend, one of the greatest martial arts masterpieces of all time. Gordan Chan knows how to make a Great Movie!! This having been said, he also made The Medallion…………… Gordan Chan also directed Royal Tramp.
This is foremost an action comedy, and not more definitely a kung fu movie. However, it contains a few good fight scenes where Chow gets to show some skill and attitude. One complaint is the subtitled version I saw didn’t translate the written word within the movie. This meant that some of the gags didn’t pay off in English. The verdict is that this movie is pretty great, and worth watching.
