Somebody's Gonna Die In These Martial Arts Video Clips!!!
...Or at least that's what it looks like in some of these martial arts video clips. Here you will find the world's finest collection of some of the most memorable videos of all time ranging from current and very old movies, to highly esoteric, formerly private or hidden videos from schools and monasteries all over the world. My very favorite martial arts video clip, of course, is one of my own teacher Great Grandmaster Fu Leung which is featured on the home page of our website. This clip is from a much longer instructional videotape that was made back in 1976 in Klamath Falls Oregon in the home of one of our former students, a police officer for Klamath Falls by the name of Don Schukei.

To Live Forever...This is truly one of the most interesting and incredible martial arts video clips I have ever seen in my life. What happens when you give a lifetime of service to traditional Chinese martial arts? Something miraculous... These men, even in their 70s, display physical strength, speed, power, and flexibility that any 18-year-old soldier would be hard-pressed to match. For some of them the goal goes far beyond the physical realm into the esoteric and often whispered about possibility of immortality. Can the strict practice of Chinese martial arts every single day of your life allow you to live forever? There is only one way to find out.

Fu Zhongwen Last Student of Yang Chengfu (1903-1994)Yang Taiji by Fu Zhongwen, student of Yang Chengfu. This martial arts video clip is exceptional in so many ways. First of all Yang Chengfu (Hanyu Pinyin), or Yang Ch'eng-fu (Wade-Giles) ( 楊澄甫, 1883-1936) is historically considered the best known teacher of the soft style martial art of Tai Chi Chuan (Taijiquan). His direct descendants, the many students he taught and their students have spread the art around the world. He was born into the famous Yang Taijiquan family, the son of Yang Chien-hou and grandson of Yang Lu-chan. With his older brother Yang Shao-hou (楊少侯) and colleagues Wu Jianquan (吳鑑泉) and Sun Lutang (孫錄堂), he was among the first teachers to offer Tai Chi Chuan instruction to the general public at the Beijing Physical Culture Research Institute from 1914 until 1928. He moved to Shanghai in 1928. He is known for having "smoothed" out the somewhat more vigorous training routine he learned from his family as well as emphasising a "large frame" or "Da Jia 大架" with expansive movements in stepping and using large circular motions with the arms. His smooth, evenly-paced large frame form and its hundreds of offshoots has been the standard for Yang style Tai Chi Chuan (and overwhelmingly in the public imagination for Tai Chi Chuan in general) ever since. This video shows the end of an era...the death of the last student of Yang Chengfu.

We are eventually going to be offering something really unique. A distance teaching program for people who have no other way to learn Traditional Chinese Martial Arts. We will be posting lessons on our sister website, Martial Arts Outpost, and this is a sample martial arts video clip showing how we will be teaching the lessons online. This is an example of a sabre form taught at the Bak Shaolin Eagle Claw Institute of Portland. This sample is done in slow motion so you can see the movement.

Jet Li is the Last Hero in China!!!This martial arts video clip of the Last Hero in China is a 1993 Hong Kong film written and directed by Wong Jing. It was released after the original Once Upon a Time in China trilogy. It is derivative of the original Once Upon a Time in China series, and unlike other imitation films, it can be considered a spinoff or spoof to some extent. The film's action director was Yuen Woo-ping and like the first three Once Upon a Time in China films, it starred Jet Li as legendary Chinese folk hero, Wong Fei Hung. However, it differs greatly in tone from the Once Upon a Time in China series, containing stronger elements of violence and broader, more slapstick, comedy.
